Its bright viewfinder makes it easy to confirm focus and compose perfect shots. The 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM next-generation large-aperture standard zoom lens is the world’s first* to deliver F1.8 brightness throughout the zoom range. Although fixed focal lenses have been superior to zoom lenses in terms of f-number brightness and overall performance, they offer only a fixed angle of view, requiring photographers to carry several with them and change lenses as necessary. The downside, however, is that F2.8 has been the limit of zoom lens brightness, forcing photographers to select fixed focal length lenses for brighter f-numbers. Zoom lenses are extremely convenient, providing a wide range of angles of view with just a twist of the zoom ring. Thanks to its hard-earned knowledge of lens design and advanced lens manufacturing techniques, SIGMA has succeeded in creating a lens that offers F1.8 throughout the zoom range, as well as exceptional image quality at wide open aperture. Advanced production technologies have made possible a large-diameter molded glass aspheric lens, which teams up with SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements to optimize power distribution and minimize axial chromatic and spherical aberration and field curvature. Ongoing technological innovation at SIGMA’s Aizu Factory has also contributed to further enhancements in lens production. SIGMA gained this know-how when it developed such super wide angle zoom lenses as the SIGMA12-24mm F4.5-5.6 II DG HSM and SIGMA 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM. To minimize astigmatism across the zoom range, SIGMA leveraged its extensive experience in reducing optical aberrations and designing advanced structural elements. As the f-number decreases, so does the depth of focus, making it extremely difficult to minimize spherical aberration, axial chromatic aberration, astigmatism and field curvature. To develop a large aperture zoom lens with a maximum aperture of F1.8, it was necessary to solve a variety of technical challenges.

Rather than pretending to know a person based solely on their a/s/l, attending Homebrew Con forced me to interact with actual human beings, all who had one very cool thing in common: a love for brewing and beer. Unless you go to Homebrew Con! I often say that the community is my favorite aspect of this hobby, and a large part of this community resides on the internet where we engage with illusory versions of peers in the safety of the warm glow of a computer monitor. Online personas serve to anonymize the real us, allowing for the occasional presumptively terse remark to someone we don’t really know, fully aware that we may never come across these people in real life. Today, I’m going to go over some of my favorite aspects of NHC, now known as Homebrew Con, in the hope I can help others avoid making a similar mistake. I’d heard about it and how much fun people had, but every year I came up with reasons to avoid going. Regretfully, it took me 12 years of homebrewing before I attended my first National Homebrewers Conference in San Diego last year. Given Malcolm’s commitment to brewing beers for our seminar, Ed offered to brew the beers using our annoyingly stringent protocol and bring them to the conference– collaborative xBmt born! (more…) Over the course of the following few days, Ed’s and my curiosity about the effect of gelatin on oat-caused haze came to a head and we agreed the only prudent avenue at this juncture would be to put it through the rigors of an informally formal xBmt. My grist included precisely zero oats, only the standard malted barley with a touch of wheat. I reminded him of the results of the first gelatin xBmt showing a fined-to-brite APA was indistinguishable from a non-fined hazy version, he responded that there are particular aspects of NE-style beer that may produce different results, namely the inclusion of a large portion of oats in the grist, which many believe is responsible for their perpetual haze. This was right around the time we published the Brü’s Views article on hazy beer, which provoked a friendly conversation between Ales Of The Riverwards‘ Ed Coffey and I about the potential impact fining might have on Northeast/New England (NE) style beers. I began pondering my plans for Homebrew Con a few months ago and quickly realized traveling across the country with beer wouldn’t be very practical. Pressure was applied and Malcolm eventually agreed to brew what he coined his bad habits beer. Furthermore, he never sampled my prior two Short & Shoddy batches and hence did not share my conviction it would all work out fine in the end. Malcolm has a strong aversion to serving people shitty beer, and as I imagine is the case for many homebrewers, the idea of cutting so many components of what we “know” to be good brewing practice had him a little worried. Of course! I presented it to Malcolm, who had agreed to brew the beer for our seminar given his proximity to the conference location, and was met with a resounding… well, he was hesitant. It wasn’t until we started putting the slideshow together for our presentation, Modern Perspectives on Traditional Methods, that I had the idea to brew a beer utilizing all of the methods we planned to discuss. We tentatively settled on brewing a couple good beers with no real purpose just so that audience members would have something to sip one while the two of us blowhards gave our talk. The obvious choice was to perform a blind triangle test with the audience, but the logistics of organizing such a tasting with so many people forced to consider other ideas. When Malcolm and I learned our Homebrew Con seminar submission was approved, we began poring over how to approach serving beer.
It gives full support for capturing microphone and webcam. It allows you to record part of the screen, full screen or any area where you are showing the lecture content. It offers a flexible way to record lecture video. iTop Screen Recorder is a beginner-friendly yet powerful recording software that enables you to record a lecture video with no effort at all. It helps capture the presentation contents that you wanna show on the screen and yourself with voice. Lecture video recorder is a must-have to make a lecture for sharing effectively. How to record lectures? In this article, we will share the best way to record a lecture video for students on Windows PC with ease. Well, lecture video recording offers a solution that helps people teach and study online classes. For students, how do they effectuate their study quality without closer communication & interaction with their lecturer as they do before in class? For professors, how to use limited methods and materials to present a better & easy-to-understand online course to the students? Both students and professors are facing a similar but different problem. For all these circumstances, students/ professors are not able to attend the physical classroom because of the pandemic control or study from home. On the other hand, the booming distanced education & online campus is also taking a big part in the education market. The public closing & social distancing restricted the public activity. Traditional classroom teaching is now facing the challenge of the global pandemic. At my SO’s place, I was tasked to capture this horrifying creature with a glass and a piece of paper – after all my girlfriend’s flatmate is vegetarian and doesn’t want to shed any animal’s blood… so, I essentially did it but it took me ages to approach this monster and eventually release it into the wild… Meanwhile, the two spawns of hell that have shown themselves in my flat were not as lucky… they did suffer my full wrath on top of my barbaric YAWP as I smashed them with my house shoe of DOOM and then vacuumed them with my vacuum of FATALITY.Īnd essentially, that leads me to today’s game which goes by the title of “Kill it with Fire” or in case of this demo (the game has yet to release!) “Kill it with Fire: Ignition”! A game that I’d describe as a demolitionist’s wet dream that allows you to kill these ugly critters with a flamethrower, bombs, shurikens, a shotgun and essentially everything that is lying around in your house. Luckily, I haven’t encountered any of these critters in Winter… but now that it’s getting warm again, these spiders are crawling out of their holes again and I’m just not good at all with them. I’m getting spooked by our dear eight-legged friends and even now I’m constantly in a state of panic as the last spider was bigger than the other one… and as I hated it so much when it came down from the ceiling Mission Impossible style and nearly landed on my hat before I swatted it with a roundhouse kick against the wall and started burning down my flat… again…īut all jokes aside, I really hate spiders and ever since having gone to that spider convention nearby, my fear of spiders has been brought to new levels. It’s springtime! And you know what that means: Yeah, spring has already kicked in with its sweet scent of flowers and lawns, with pollen flying through the air (I’m not bothered by it), wasps bothering me on my balcony, with sunny and rainy days and generally a forecast that leaves me wondering if I’m dressed too warm or too cold. It’s springtime… for spiders… in Germany! (Uh, I hope nobody minds that reference…) Therefore, unfortunately we cannot be responsible for lost packages that were not sent by insured post. The main assembling that needs to be done can be done with a bit of sticky felt or glue. Some of the items need for a basic minion like the overalls or yellow shirt or yellow beanie you might even own, making it an easy costume to mash-up. * The Gru Logo is the main difference between the 2010/2013 minions and the prequel 1968 minions. How to Make an Easy, No Sew Yellow Minion Costume Yellow Minion Costume Another difference is that the computer animation has improved in the nearly five years since we were introduced to the minions. The major difference with the 2010 minions is that these are the minions working with Gru, so they have the Gru “G” logo or Gru “G” symbol on their standard overalls. The 2010 are wearing the same goggles, overalls, black books and black gloves as the minions from 1968. Your hardest decision about your minion costume may be whether to be a one-eyed or a two-eyed minion. Pulling together or mashing-up, a basic minion costume is easy, especially if you already own a pair of denim overalls, black gloves and goggles. In 2015 after being the stars of several shorts they are back in The Minion Movie. We saw Gru’s silly henchmen/yellow children again in 2013, crazier than ever in Despicable Me 2. In the issue there’s an article titled, “Top Speakers Set for Shows,” where the first speakers were announced for the Assemblies and Convocations Committees upcoming speaker series. Capp’s speech was to take place on October 6, 1960, and was aptly titled “Al Capp Talks.” In an article titled “Capp and Cows” from the October 6 issue, a reporter observed, “To many, he is more than a satirist or a cartoonist he is an institution.” Possibly the biggest indicator of just how popular Al Capp was among the students is shown in the September 22, 1960, issue of the Chronicle. With Capp’s popularity among the University of Utah Students, he was a perfect fit to begin a set of speeches that were being offered by the University’s Assemblies and Convocations Committee. At its height, the comic strip was read by “such great people as Britain’s Queen Elizabeth, and novelist John Steinbeck.” On top of the comic’s famous readers, it was being read by about “60 million readers in over 900 million American newspapers and 100 foreign papers in 28 countries.” ( The Daily Utah Chronicle, 1960)Īl Capp addressed a large crowd at the University of Utah Union Ballroom. Li’l Abner became the biggest comic ever set in the South. Capp’s most famous comic strip, Li’l Abner, was established with this vision on August 13, 1934. So, when Capp quit working with Fisher, he decided to begin a new comic strip that took place in the South. This hillbilly character, a boxer from Kentucky named Big Leviticus, became a quick favorite of the comic reading public. In 1933, while working on Joe Palooka, Capp introduced a hillbilly character into the comic’s cast of characters. Capp had gone to work for Ham Fisher, a cartoonist in Connecticut known for his popular comic strip, Joe Palooka. Alfred Gerald Caplin, better known by the abbreviated Al Capp, was a cartoonist from New Haven, Connecticut. If you have any doubts, let us know in the comment box below.
